Health Care Professionals Training Program in Acupuncture

The International School of Acupuncture (ISA), a subgroup of the Hellenic Non profit Corporation of Chinese Medicine (HCCM) is offering a seven-month training course in acupuncture and Asian Medicine. This program is tailored exclusively for health professionals, including doctors, physical therapists, midwives, nurses, and final-year students in these fields, focusing on a holistic therapeutic approach.

 

 

 

 

 

Program Highlights

Holistic Therapeutic Approach: Emphasises the integration of acupuncture and Asian Medicine into conventional therapeutic practices.
Comprehensive Curriculum: Covers some of the most effective techniques and systems of Asian Medicine, ensuring a well-rounded education.
Musculoskeletal Pathologies and Pain Management: Special focus on these areas, taught within the framework of holistic principles and Asian Medicine.
Thermotherapy and Myoperitoneal Release: Training includes these advanced therapeutic techniques.

Curriculum Details

Duration: Seven months
Hours: 210 hours, meeting the requirements recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the training of doctors and health professionals.
Support: Conducted with the support of the Confucius Institute of Athens.

Certification and Accreditation

Indemnity Insurance:

Evaluated by American insurance agencies, enabling graduates to apply for indemnity insurance.
Certificate of Attendance: Upon successful completion and passing the exams, participants receive:
– A certificate of attendance for the “Training Program for Health Professionals in Acupuncture” (210 hours) from  World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) and HCCM.

Global Recognition:

The program is accredited by:

– The International Acupuncture Association of Physical Therapists, a member of the World Physiotherapy Association, allowing graduates to obtain a globally recognised certificate.
– The British Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), permitting graduating physiotherapists to register automatically with the association.

This comprehensive training program equips health professionals with the knowledge and skills to integrate acupuncture and Asian Medicine into their practice, enhancing their therapeutic potential and providing a holistic approach to patient care.

The dates of the program are subject to change

* Additional practical classes can be arranged throughout the course at no extra cost. From May 23 to 31, 2026, students will have the unique opportunity to participate in clinical practice at prestigious university hospitals in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shandong. This exclusive experience is available for an additional fee of €1100, excluding travel and accommodation costs. Participation is optional and not a mandatory part of the program.
