Yoga Retreat Greece Kythnos 2020

I would like to invite you to join me and Tania Kemou for the second greek yoga retreat – the upcoming Yoga Retreat Greece Kythnos 2020. Tania and I met during the Elysia Yoga Convention in Amorgos in 2018. Tania is currently based in Berlin and teaches both Ashtanga and Vinyasa. We were lucky enough to meet up in Athens again in 2019. Neither of us could resist the opportunity to combine our love of yoga and hosting retreats together. We will be staying at one of the incredible villas of K4Kythnos. This is one of the few “undiscovered” gems of the Greek Isles. Read the blog post to read more about the island of Kythnos. Book now – it will be fun. And… GREECE! It’s gorgeous, wonderful, amazing.

Greece Yoga Retreat Kythnos 2020 – Getting to Athens

Flights from Johannesburg

We suggest either Turkish Airlines via Turkey or Emirates (Discovery Rewards) via Dubai – please be aware that there are no direct flights to Athens from South Africa. Our recommendation is to get to Athens the day before i.e. Wednesday 22 May 2020. The reason is the ferry to the islands may not run on time during off-season – better safe than sorry! Also take into account layover time in Dubai or Istanbul. Sometimes interconnecting flights have a delay of 8 hours.

Flights from Europe and elsewhere

We have no recommendations since there are a lot more options within Europe and elsewhere – but we do suggest getting to Athens the day before.

Ferry to Kythnos

Ferry will leave from Athens, Port of Piraieus on May 23rd at 7am in the morning. Expected arrival time in Kythnos is 10am. Please arrive 45 minutes beforehand to collect tickets and board the ferry.

The returning ferry will leave Kythnos at 5 pm on May 29th. Arrival time in Athens at Port of Piraieus is 8 pm in the evening.

Should you need help booking a hotel close to Piraieus please let us know and we will arrange a group booking.

Travel Tips for Greek Yoga Retreat

I have written a blog post loaded with my personal experiences to Greece – Read it here

I went to Greece hoping to have a life changing experience and I did – it was so much more than expected. I loved the people, the food and the environment. The only complaint I have is that I ever left .
