Beginners Vinyasa Flow Yoga Series

Over a 5 week period, we will guide you through a 75 minute practice each Saturday to take you through the fundamental aspects of Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

You will discover your breath and develop an awareness in both mind and body. With a better understanding of your practice and body, you can expect to enjoy movement even more!

By the end of the 5 week series you will be able to comfortably attend and follow entry level and intermediate Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes.

Classes will be taught by Catherine Leong of Yogaventure

Below is a brief guide of what to expect each week:

Week 1:
Suyra Namaskar (Sun salutations) and how to breathe in a Yoga class (Ujjayi breath)

Week 2:
Recap of week one and introduction to primary standing and balance poses such as Virabhadrasana 1 + 2 (Warrior poses).

Week 3:
Recap of previous weeks with more in depth focus on hips and shoulders

Week 4:
Revision, introduction to heart openers and twists

Week 5:
Recap, basic inversions and  additional elements to twisting.

Classes will always teach appropriate modifications and variations depending on your current flexibility, strength and overall fitness level.
